Castlebank was established in 1990 as a care home providing residential care for 28 older persons. It provides personal care and residential support for people, including those with dementia, who may have a wide range of care needs, and who, due to this and their abilities haven chosen to move into Castlebank.
We are registered with the Care Quality Commission for 28 beds providing provision of care to person’s aged 65 and over.
At Castlebank we are proud to be members of the National Association of Care and Support Workers organisation.
We are also proud to be members of the National Activity Providers Association.
Our excellent team of highly skilled motivated staff are led and supported by our registered manager.
Our senior team have a significant wealth and breadth of knowledge, skills and experience for caring for the elderly and those with mental health (including dementia), residential care and end of life.
Staff are dedicated, caring and committed to providing a high standard of care. They all have the training and knowledge to assist them with this.
Our Team
Castlebank offers car parking, Wi-Fi, tv & telephone points, Nurse call system for peace of mind, is pet-friendly and provides a wide range of other services, such as hairdressing and a full activities programme.
We have excellent working relationships with the local community, professionals (GPs, District Nurses etc.) and have a strong reputation for providing good quality care to our residents.
Tow Law has transport links with buses from Stanhope, Consett, Durham City and Bishop Auckland. Both bus services stop within a two minutes’ walk from the
care home.
